Astrophotography at Enchanted Rock State Park

This will be a great trip for any members who want to capture images of the Milky Way, stars and the Perseids meteor shower. The dates picked for this club field trip are in a good alignment for a dark moonless sky and plenty of celestial objects to capture.

Members who would like to attend should book accommodation in or around Fredericksburg as there is not much near the State Park. We plan to arrive on August 11th and head home on the 14th but you are certainly welcome to stay longer if you prefer! I did a quick check of hotels and motels in the area and there are the higher end chains as well as a lot of smaller and less expensive ones in the $60-90 per night range.
