About the event
Where: Brazos Bend State Park, 21901 FM 762, Needville Texas
When: April 25th, 6:30 am until mid afternoon
Cost: $7 per person entry fee and money for lunch
Recommended Gear: Camera and lenses (telephoto for wildlife, wider for landscapes), a backpack or shoulder type bag that's easy to carry, extra batteries.
Not Recommended: A tripod due to the amount of walking, a light monopod would work but at that time of day not really necessary.
Spring is the time for getting out in the outdoors for wildlife before heat and humidity make it more challenging. Brazos Bend SP has an abundance of wildlife with over 300 bird species, white-tailed deer, feral hogs, armadillos, and river otters.
