About the event
We hope members will join us on Thursday, August 21st for a photo field trip to the Houston Museum of Fine Arts in the lower Montrose/Medical District of Houston. General admission is free on Thursdays, the only cost would be for parking in the museum garage.
August is a hot month here in Houston so being inside for the most part with air conditioning seems like a good idea! The museum offers many good opportunities for photographs. They have an outdoor sculpture garden and inside the main galleries offer many excellent interior aspects of architecture as well as ornate statues and exhibits that can make excellent photos.
The museum opens at 11 am. Our plan is to gather at the Kingwood First Baptist Church parking lot at 9:30 am and leave in carpools for the museum. That will give us time to park and take pictures early in the sculpture…
