About the event
The Wilder Family Sunflower Farm is a local attraction just west of College Station. The field of flowers is large and best photographed just before and during sunset. We plan to leave early enough to beat rush hour traffic and get some dinner before going to the fields.
Members need to bring some step ladders as the sunflowers are around 6 feet off the ground and best shot at eye level or just above.
We have changed the original date from June 4th to June 11th due to no reports yet on flower blooms and a 98% chance of heavy rain on the 4th.
We will meet at the parking lot of Kingwood First Baptist Church to figure out car pooling. Our goal is to leave at 3pm and if we stay for sunset it will be close to 10 pm when we get back.
