Lone Star College 2026 Exhibition Update

Now is the time to be choosing images for submission. You need to choose images that will make the appropriate size prints with the 4 aspect ratios allowed. They are:

• 1:1 or a 16" by 16" print

• 1:2 or a 10" by 20" print

• 2:3 or a 12" by 18" print

• 4:5 or a 16" by 20" print

For digital submission just size your images like we do for Share & Learn, 2000 pixels on the long edge. However, please ensure the original images will also be of a high resolution for making the prints if they are chosen. If you are unsure, please reach out to me for help. I can also help with upsizing using Topaz Gigapixel if your images are chosen and need to be upsized.

I have posted our club presentation called "Bits, Bytes, Pixels And the Dreaded Aspect Ratio: Preparing Your Masterpiece For Sharing and Printing" at our website. They are still working out details on the contracts that each artist must agree upon but it may end up that I will sign off for everyone just to make it more simple than last year. In essence, I will be acting as the registered agent.

Last year almost all our members used Humble Camera or Kingwood Photo Lab for prints. Those who used Humble Camera also had Brad do the mats, for those who used Kingwood Photo Lab we got a special price from Webb Gallery on FM 1960. Webb has agreed to the same price as last year and we are leaving it up to each member chosen to negotiate prices with either Humble Camera or Kingwood Photo Lab for their services. We feel sure they will work with you for the best price they can offer.
