Our December Club Dinner Meeting is Fast Approaching
Every year in December we hold our monthly meeting and serve a meal to enjoy. This year we will have a lovely holiday themed dinner catered and served by A Grand Affair. The menu will include appetizers to start off with and then roast turkey with festive side dishes and finish with seasonal fruit pies.
Our meeting will be on the second Tuesday in December, the 8th due to church functions the next week. It will start at 6:30 for greetings and socializing and dinner will commence at 7 pm. Also, in December we will not do our typical second Wednesday lunch so we hope you will come to our dinner.
Over the past few years we have seen catering and food costs go up and we have had requests to try something with different menu options. A Grand Affair will handle the food table setup, serving everyone and food table clean up after dinner so that this will ensure a nice hot meal is served and a lot less work for our club member volunteers, allowing them to actually sit and enjoy the event. Our volunteers will still get our room setup and do table decorations and put the room back in order after the dinner. In addition we will have a Christmas themed backdrop and photo shoot area set up for anyone wanting a Holiday portrait as well as a retrospective program of the year's events.
The club will still contribute towards the cost as in the past but this year we ask members to purchase tickets and pay $30 per person in advance of the dinner. Payment will be handled through the club's PayPal account when you register for this event and you don't need a PayPal account to purchase your tickets, you can use a credit card The deadline to register and pay or to cancel a reservation if your plans change will be November 30th. The caterer needs an accurate head count on December 1st for our dinner.
