Where: The Wilder Farm Sunflower Fields, 13325 Farm to Market Rd 60, Snook, TX 77878
When: June 11th, roughly from 3 pm to 10 pm.
The Wilder Family Farm Facebook page was updated and states that the flowers should be great for photography this week and the weather forecast also predicts clear to partly cloudy skies which should be really good for our trip.
We will meet at the parking lot at Kingwood First Baptist Church and depart at 3 pm. We will drive towards Bryan/College Station and stop for an early dinner at Napa Flats Cafe at 1727 Texas Ave S in College Station. After eating we will head over towards Snook for our photo shoot.
There is no parking at the sunflower fields but we can park nearby at the CEFCO Travel Center truck stop across from the farm. Keep in mind that sunflowers tend to be tall at the blooming stage, typically 6 feet or taller; I will bring 2-3 small step ladders to share but you are welcome to bring one along we can put in the back of my truck. Also, with recent rainfall it might be a bit muddy so dress accordingly. This is a popular venue so there may be other photographers there as well.
After sunset we will make the 90 minute trip back to Kingwood.
Please remember to RSVP if you plan to go and also cancel your RSVP if your plans change. We don't want to leave anyone behind that we didn't know was coming!
