Time to go to High Island for bird photography!

We meet at First Baptist Church of Kingwood's parking lot on Tuesday, April 7th, to organize our car pools to High Island. We will stop at Shoveler Pond in Anahuac NWR before heading to Smith Oaks Bird Refuge and the rookery. We should see birds on their nests with eggs and maybe some chicks. We may also see migrating species who have crossed the Gulf of Mexico.
After a morning of birding we will stop in Winnie for lunch before heading home. Please plan to pay $10 for entry to the Bird Refuge and contribute some gas money for your driver if you carpool, plus lunch.
We plan to stop at Lercy's Diner for lunch.
